The Mayor also disclosed plans to develop a well-organized trading structure at the Poku Trading Area to provide a more suitable environment for market women while enhancing the area’s appearance. Addressing allegations circulating on social media that he has a financial interest in the prefabricated containers around the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the Mayor described the claims as false, stating that he has no involvement in the sale or production of the containers. He further indicated that only the 14 traders whose unauthorized structures were removed and who complied with the Assembly’s directive by acquiring the approved prefabricated stores will be permitted to return to the designated area.
