Don't ever be ashamed of using medication to get you started. Food noise is real and can be debilitating. You still had to do the work to get results. Congratulations! You look amazing!

good for you in making changes . it took me til I was in my 40s to make the changes. I was over 500lbs by the time I made changes. I am down almost 250lbs. I still have over 100lbs to lose to hit my ultimate goal weight but I will get there.

None of the “assists” to losing weight (weight loss surgery, the shots, etc) are the “easy” way out. They all still require hard work and dedication. My beautiful and hard working DIL had the WLS and I saw firsthand how very hard she worked and still has to work. So I commend you and don’t ever let anyone take any of your amazing accomplishments away from you. You have always been a beautiful human and I’m so proud of you and happy you are healthier.

Thankyou so much for being transparent, there is nothing wrong with taking that stepping stone to help lose the weight, especially if you were at a weight where you were struggling to exercise! It would have made it nearly impossible but losing the 60 pounds ish made it so you could more easily. So proud of you and thankyou for sharing your journey and taking us on another one! 🫶🏻❤️

I really appreciate how you are open about your story. I experienced grief at a young age and my only comfort was food. I am so happy that there are people out there who have experienced that type of way and are willing to speak about it 🩷

You’ve done so fucking amazing!!!! I’m currently trying to lose weight as I’ve lost any shred of confidence I had to begin with and like you I’m going on when I feel good about what I see than have a specific weight cuz I feel like constantly weighing yourself can really put you in a bad place if you’re not losing as much as you think you should in a certain timeframe 😬 I have never had an ED before but I have very disordered eating habits, for example I don’t eat all day then I binge at night (which I’m getting slowly better at). Anyways, I’m so so proud of you for taking control and losing weight the way you wanted to do it 🫶🏻🩷

I am on the same journey. I've lost about 50 lbs in 6 months. Early on, I was in constant pain, always tired, and got dizzy or got headaches from jusy walking to the bathroom. I was so frustrated for loosing my independence and afraid because I didn't know what going on with my body, on top of those insufferable sweet cravings. My first doctor recommended to cut out sugar and flour, and 2 doctors later I started medication to help regulate my metabolism. I now know I had several metabolic issues and was on the brink of needing emergency surgery. I then started a mediterranean diet (basically Keto). But the more weight I loose, the the harder it becomes to resist the "I deserve a treat" mindset. Luckily,I have a great support system. Still, I need to remind myself that my goal isn't just to loose weight, but to never feel like I did in January again. Since my two jobs make it impossible to go to a gyn, I "workout" by walking more on weekends and exploring my own city. Exploring new parks, going to free events, that kind of stuff. It has done wonders for my mental health.

So proud of you! I was at 267 at my heaviest and at 154 right now and did the shot for about 6 months. I want to get rid of all my loose skin as well. Did you get your insurance to cover the skin removal or are you paying out of pocket? What are you getting done? Sorry if these questions are to invasive.
