I had to replace the SCREEN on mine when I refurbished it, with no tech repair experience, when I say I was SWEATTINNGGG 😭 but it's so cool how easily repairable they are. I wish modern tech was like this

You should start a small little business that offers to upgrade them! I’d definitely pay to get one done ❤️

One thing about getting an ipod, DO NOT GET THE 6th GEN CLASSIC THIS STUPID BITCH WONT ACCEPT ANY EXTA SPACE THAN 120GBs AND THE FULL METAL CASING IS HARD AS FUCK TO OPEN(plastic casing is way easier to pry instead of full metal), anyways heres my ipod 6th gen classic with rockbox on it :3

you did a great job, especially for a first timer👍 only thing i would of done different was use a better opening tool, the flexible pry tool makes getting in much easier. And mabye used a dual rather than the quad for more mod space but thats more a personal preference thing.

How do you use iTunes? I didn’t think it was even a thing anymore?

i wouldn't add bluetooth btw, you have solder a reciever directly to the battery so it will constantly drain it. the best external adaptor is the kokkia i10 pro (ts very pricey). the 5th gen is def the best ipod to start with since the front is plastic it opens a lot easier than metal ones (though they are more premium feeling than the plastic). you can use the iflash quad which does work reliably however there is a new adapter being manufactured for around 10 dollars which does work the same and does fit with a 3000mah battery. if you need to buy parts i'd recommend elite obsolete electronics for an actual retailer or aliexpress for the best prices. lmk if you need any more help i do this for a living :)
