I’m confused as to why anyone is being called a socialist. When all they are doing is using tax dollars to help/support people as it should be and improve infrastructure. What else are tax dollars supposed to be used for?

I dont know how much you know about socialism in Milwaukee, WI. We had 3 socialist mayors from 1910- 1960 with some gaps in between. It was the golden age of Milwaukee. We also have the record of socialist mayors. Daniel Hoan was the longest serving mayor. I'm hoping that we bring that back this year and elect Hong for our governor.

It actually reminds me of the tea party movement. Moderate republicans were getting primaried on the right. The moderate democrats haven’t fought back so they are getting primaried on the left. Why it took 20 years for this to happen is beyond me.

Around the same time, states like Oklahoma and Texas had large numbers of registered Socialists, think farmers, laborers, miners, lawyers, teachers, doctors etc from rural communities. That history has been completely erased from these places
