I didn’t have a grandma who loved me enough to give me sound advice. My mother left me forever when I was just 16. But before she passed she celebrated my 16th birthday and told me she is doing it for she may not see my 21st. 💔 I was lucky for 12 of those 16 years she equipped me as much as she could so I could survive life gracefully. I struggled I suffered but the light at the end of the tunnel never went out. Through every step every breath I walked with her lessons forever in my mind and my self reproach of ….would mummy be proud of me if I did this or behaved this way. With every negative answer I gave myself, determination reared its beautiful head to be better so better. Be kinder. At the end of it all I learned the hard way whom to choose including myself! To love myself just as much as I love my children and the few people in my life. 💗🌻
