Where did we go wrong? 😂 The Japanese approach to travel is basically a synchronized orchestra of respect, awareness, and “don’t be a selfish muppet.” Everyone stands when it’s their turn. Bags are ready. People move with purpose. No aisle rugby. No family of six stopping dead in the middle to reorganize their passports like they’re preparing for a military tribunal. Meanwhile in America, row 18 somehow thinks they’ve been personally selected for The Hunger Games and launch themselves into the aisle before row 7 has even moved. What fascinates me is this has nothing to do with intelligence. It’s culture, systems, and consideration for the collective. Efficiency is built into everyday behavior in Japan. Tiny actions repeated millions of times. Honestly, there’s a lesson here for the travel tech industry too. The best systems are invisible. Good technology removes friction. Great technology changes behavior without people even realizing it. Japan understands this better than almost anywhere on earth. Also shout out to the Japanese salaryman who somehow exited the plane, answered 14 emails, and probably rebuilt a Toyota transmission before the Americans reached baggage claim. #Japan #TravelTechnology #Omotenashi #JapaneseCulture #TravelIndustry
