How do you cope with everyone telling you to dump him ? I’m in the same situation and every time I talk about him to friends, they tell me to leave. I want to stay but it’s hard to own up that choice when everyone is telling you to do the opposite and when no one seems to understand that choice

20 years later, never been happier. and all at once the pain hits me and all I can think is "why wasn't it always like this?". Betrayal trauma sucker punches me when I least expect it. and it sucks. thankfully my husband will sit with me and let me cry, scream, pray, anything I need. all these years later, the ghosts are still there but they don't haunt me as much as they used to.

3 years IN! 5 was/is still the hardest. But strangely the best thing that could’ve happened for us. We evolv daily broke cycles and learned our own individual foundation is unbreakable 2 full people becoming walking thru fire together. No 6 BECOMING UNBOTHERED AND SECURELY ATTACHED to myself🫶✨

Thank you❤️I stopped checking his phone too, and I stopped asking questions. I’m trying to focus more on myself now. Being aware of what I’m feeling helps me manage those moments when my anxiety is at its peak and fear starts creeping in like a thief in the night. We’ve also started going to church again, and I can see small changes in him—in the way he talks to me, the way he holds me, and even in how he treats me. Although I know we still have a long way to go, and there are moments when the hurt and doubt come back, I’m learning not to let them consume me. I’m taking it one day at a time.
