Every Brawl Stars player eventually reaches the point where they become convinced that their random teammates exist solely to make them lose trophies. While that obviously isn't true every match, it certainly feels that way when you're on a losing streak. My randoms always seem to have a supernatural ability to make the worst decision possible at exactly the worst moment. They rush into a full enemy team with ten gems, ignore the objective completely, or somehow miss every shot while standing two tiles away from the enemy. Instead of helping secure the win, they often become the biggest obstacle standing between victory and defeat. One of the biggest problems is a complete lack of game sense. In Gem Grab, randoms act like collecting gems is optional, leaving the gem carrier completely exposed while chasing pointless kills. In Brawl Ball, they dribble the ball straight into three defenders or score an own goal by accidentally passing to the enemy. In Heist, they'll ignore the enemy safe just to chase one low-health opponent across the entire map. Every mode has a clear objective, yet randoms somehow discover a brand-new way to avoid playing it. Another issue is questionable brawler selection. Instead of choosing a strong pick for the map, randoms seem determined to play their Power 9 Edgar into three hard counters or pick Mortis on maps where every enemy can easily stop him. Sometimes they enter ranked without enough experience on their brawler, turning every fight into a learning experience for themselves—and a nightmare for everyone else. Teamwork is also almost nonexistent. Rather than supporting teammates, randoms split across the map, feed enemy supers, and refuse to group up when it matters. They'll watch you get pinched in a 2v1 from a safe distance, only to jump in after you've already been eliminated. Communication is limited, so good positioning and awareness become even more important, yet randoms often seem allergic to both. Perhaps the most frustrating part is consistency. The enemy team somehow feels perfectly coordinated, dodging every shot and chaining supers together like professional players. Meanwhile, your own teammates are spinning in circles, using angry pins after every mistake, or standing still because they're typing in chat. It creates the illusion that matchmaking has secretly decided your fate before the game even starts. Despite all the frustration, blaming randoms isn't always fair. Everyone has bad games, internet issues, or moments where they make poor decisions. Sometimes you're the random that someone else is complaining about. However, after losing five games in a row because teammates ignored the objective, walked into obvious traps, or disconnected at the worst possible time, it's hard not to believe that your randoms have mastered the art of throwing games. In conclusion, random teammates in Brawl Stars have earned their reputation for being unpredictable, frustrating, and occasionally unbelievable. Whether they're making questionable plays, choosing poor brawlers, or forgetting the objective entirely, they can turn a winnable match into a painful defeat. While skill and teamwork can overcome bad teammates sometimes, every Brawl Stars player knows the feeling of looking at the end screen and thinking, "There was absolutely nothing I could've done."
