Red oak has a pretty open grain so it doesn't take spray paint that well. You might consider epoxy filling the text instead of hand painting. Would be much faster and the a quick scrape and then run through the planer would give great results. Nice work!

i think it's great for what you've got into it, assuming yoi did it at home and dont have overhead of a seperatr ahop-space lease.
