To use it you apply it dry to your face and gently rub to remove makeup then you wet your hands. The cleanser should get milky when the water touches it (emulsify). Wet your face with small amount of water and gently rub the water all over the oil cleanser. Then rinse your face. If you're acne prone or have combo/oily skin you should probably always double cleanse. If you want to get sebaceous filaments out of your pores you can rub the oil cleanser in for 5+ minutes. I do this once every week or two...it's gross but satisfying.
