So, you need proof to believe in something? Well, tell me—how would you prove love? Take the love of your boyfriend or husband, for instance; if you think it’s proven through deeds and words, that’s not really proof at all, because someone could do or say all those things while merely acting, or for the sake of some personal gain or benefit. It is impossible to prove the love within a person; you have to have faith. So, you don't always need proof to believe in something.

I agree. One of the things that has always puzzled me is Christians say their god is a jealous god — I’m sorry, what?! What in the world would god have to be jealous of? If he created the literal universe, why would he be jealous of anything or anyone? Also, rumor has it that god is perfect, so why would he be susceptible to such a petty emotion? And why be vengeful? Surely that is beneath him.

When I was a child I was told atheist worshipped the devil. As a teen I was horrified that anyone would admit to this evil . As an adult I am proud to lable myself as atheist just the same as I am proud to not believe in yhe toothfairy Santa leprechauns & fairys.

We all were born atheists, a lot of people never found their way through the wilderness like Jesus who was also tempted by satan afterwards, although many tend to fail because the temped addiction is stronger than their will the reason why God's love truth and righteousness remains needed.

Some people's need for objective evidence that God exists to have faith in Him is contrary to the very notion of faith. Some have faith based on personal experiences. They have proof that has been given to them and them only. But they can't tangibly or coherently share it and, sometimes, that is conveniently (or jealously?) labeled "mental illness." They say an all-knowing God should know persons of true faith, but many people are so arrogant they presume how God should be or act. For example, what if God chooses, for whatever reason, not to know some things, even though He can know them? So they are smarter than God and they have it all figured out, relying on an absence of evidence of God as all the proof they need to stick with the argument that there's no God. But that's a fallacy because "no evidence" ≠ something's not there. It's frustrating. I know because I was an atheist, too. Dr. Stephen Hawking was convinced God doesn't exist because there was, according to the Big Bang Theory, a point in time nothing existed. But did he ever consider that time to God is not linear, but circular? Jesus (God) told us, "I am the Alpha and the Omega…" He's the beginning and the end of everything. That's a lot to get our human heads around. Dr. Hawking was obsessed with black holes and the Big Bang Theory. But some astrophysicists are backing away from the Big Bang Theory and theorizing that the universe did spring from something - a black hole! Einstein did the math and figured out that the human brain is really a receiver. But he couldn't figure out from where or what (or whom) we receive signals to our brains. Einstein never admitted any belief in God, but he was intelligent enough to be open minded enough never to have completely denied God exists. Biology 101: You exist solely to multiply/reproduce. That's hard science. If someone wants to know if there's more to life than just Biology 101, then he or she should go to a quiet place all by themselves and ask God (unless they're afraid to)! What's the harm in it, if God's not real (as opposed to "Pascal's Wager")? Nothing may very well happen. But, then again, he or she might eventually be surprised ...

The universe appears to be infinitely complex, thus there are the possibilities that God or gods exist, some creatures like big foot + Lockness monster exist on another planet, etc. Thus I prefer agnostic science.

I used to be an atheist but I decided opting out of a religion could be held against me. So I joined the universal Life church. There is no worship required and no deity to pray to. The one requirement is to do the right thing which is decided by the practitioner.
