Helpful tip- keep wearing tight compression clothes on your belly and use skin firming lotion daily. I use the Nivea skin firming lotion. Tighter clothes helped my hips come back in, helped my belly not just hang as I lost the baby belly weight and tightened up my belly skin. Did it with both kids after their births. You’re still glowing btw 😊 congrats new momma 😘

For me Braxton hicks was like an over all uncomfortable tightening of my stomach..but contractions, they feel like my body is literally trying to squeeze the baby out lol idk how else to describe it. I never thought it felt like period cramps. It’s a totally different sensation to me and I have endometriosis so I know painful cramps. But contractions are something out of this world type pain. They’re different and incredibly strong. I’ve had 5 kids for reference.

I didn’t know I was in labor I had to text my doctor about it before my appointment then same day my water broke but this time my contractions did not hurt as bad as my first so I thought it was normal cramping

During the 36 years that I was a Labor and delivery nurse, I probably took care of maybe 10 women who really didn’t know that they were in Labor. They came in, because they just felt “uncomfortable “and usually had some bloody show. I’ll never forget one gal… she had been out shopping. And “just didn’t feel right. “ 10cm!!

I DID not know I was in labour spent 2 hours thinking I just really needed to go to the toilet 💀 got to the hospital after 2 hours of just sweeping it under the rug and was already at 10cm pushing 5 mins after arriving at hospital 😳😳
