Not everyone can buy a new mattress, cleaning with the right products usually gets the smell out ! But yes a cover will save you during times like these, definitely worth the investment

You need an enzyme clearer to remove the urine scent, that is the only thing that breaks down the protein in the urine

Cat pee is such a vile smell. And it’s almost impossible to get out of things. Especially like a mattress. I would definitely invest in a new one.
