I don’t think it’s common and it’s your right to know the side effects and it is his responsibility to tell you everything. For myself, if that’s ever happened to me, I would run away from this doctor assuming that he doesn’t know what he’s doing and find another doctor.

Because in many cases doctors believe that because of their certificate in medicine they know everything, and because of that illusion i personally like to challenge them with asking more educated questions

Yeah, Typical doctors in Saudi Arabia. They’re full of themselves and don’t think anyone is at the same level of intelligent as them and they don’t like questions specially non saudi doctors (even the saudis). They just do what I guess called “protection methods” to protect themselves from any complaints
