One thing I found astonishing is that we teach how Cain killed Abel but we don’t teach about that God Hilself talked to Cain before he killed his brother.

This story he tell about Cain is not in the Bible I’m reading. Stop adding things to scripture.

It's the weight of the heart, the purpose/motive, and the faith. Offering should be done in the lenses of faithfulness, obedience, and the fact that God deserves the BEST. Truthfully, He doesn't need offering 'coz obviously He has everything, what He needs is our faith and our relational/intimate obedience. Praise Jesus!♥️

Wym nobody told? It’s right in the book. Great message but I pray that if anyone was just hearing this reasoning, I pray they get into the word. And anyone who is already in the word delves deeper and finds more answers

It's even simpler than that. The animal sacrifice symbolizes life. The grain offering, nothing important was lost. In this way, God makes this split in humanity. The ones who will give their whole life to God and the ones who will give the least they can do. It's the same split. Sheep/goats, Jacob I loved/Esau I hated, wheat/tares, Israel/gentiles, born-again by baptism/non born-again, heaven/hell.

so when we said "Lord I give my life as a sacrifice for You" it cost something. it cost that we no more can live as how we want, but as His will. That it may feel discomfort like when we feel the urge to rush, but God said wait and we need to be patience. when we be the "freak" among people.

you're exactly correct and it worked that way for the animals too and Malachi and throughout the scriptures on the Israelites brought their animals to the temple some of them were blemished crippled God didn't like that because the people didn't give their best animal

my thought is that a sacrifice is possibly supposed to expose the true nature of the giver. if you have the heart to kill an animal then that's what you should sacrifice. idk I'm just thinking

I think that man becomes attached to animals. So it is a greater sacrifice.

you're close. Gods principle of first fruits is why he rejected Cains offering. Abel brought him the first fruits or first born of his flock. When you tithe or make an offering to the Lord is must be the first part not the second or last. Everything we have is God's so you're not giving him anything you're bringing it back to him. so you bring back 10% so he can bless the 90%
