A Florida pastor and hospice chaplain is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he groomed and sexually abused a 14-year-old child — and confessed to it all. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says Timothy Chaneyfield, 42, picked up the teen on three occasions and engaged in illegal sexual activity with the victim at his Winter Haven home. Detectives arrested Chaneyfield at Orlando International Airport on July 29 after he returned from presiding over a funeral in Baltimore. Investigators also allege Chaneyfield failed to disclose his HIV-positive status to the child and a separate adult partner. Sheriff Judd called Chaneyfield a "super-spreader," and believes he likely had unprotected sex with other minors and adults without telling them about his HIV status. Chaneyfield now faces more than a dozen charges, including lewd battery, traveling to meet a minor, marijuana possession, interfering with custody of a child, and unlawful use of a communication device. Chaneyfield is being held on more than $350,000 bond.
