I was about four years old. I overheard my mom talking to her mom about the custody arrangement with my dad. Dad would get my brother, she would get me and no further contact with the “other” child. next thing I know mom was packing me up and I had new names. We moved across the country, new names, new school. My dad found me in two months. I was swimming in the apartment pool without supervision. He called me by my birth name. I swear I ran across water to fling myself into his arms. I have NO idea how he found me. This was before cell phones. How in the world did he do this?!

My husbands coworker went to the bass and complained that someone was writing hate messages about him on the walls of the warehouse, I took the photo of the message and a pic of the log book pages and matched the handwriting to the guy complaining, he wrote the message himself

Dated a guy who claimed he had stage 4 lung cancer… didn’t want me to go to his doctor appointment because he “didn’t want me to see him like that”. Claimed he could go right back to work after a “chemo” treatment. I tracked his car, he was going to McDonalds.

I was like 9 we played webkinz at my friend's house all the time, and together we were all really good at taking turns and having equal playtime. one time their bratty cousin came over and didn't let anyone else play at all, and was just really bitchy and mean to me the whole time. I managed a glimpse at their password, it was like "hellokitty1" so I logged on, friended myself, sent over a few fun trinkets, and unfriended myself. I did this for a day or two, and they must have noticed and changed the password. well it took some real sleuth work but their new password was "hellokitty2" so I got another day or two of it before they changed it entirely. probably the worst thing I ever did as a kid tbh, but she was just a plain spoiled brat, so I dont really feel too bad about it.

Hotel employee was always checking guests out who had “complaints about their bills.” I went through his files, saw that for guests who had paid in cash, he had removed dinners from their bills. I called one of those guests to apologize for the poor quality of the dinner. She had never complained…he was adjusting the bills and pocketing

Not exactly my story BUT My friend is a personal support worker. She took a side job taking a 20 something year old a couple days a week. Girl needed a lot of care, help buckling in her car seat, would eat wood chips at the park, needed her diaper changed, couldn’t talk properly. We started to get a funky feeling and started to dig a bit. During all this digging, I CAUGHT HER DRIVING AND CONFRONTED HER. Turns out she’s just your average 20 something year old. Wasn’t disabled, AT ALL. Her and her family turned out to be absolute scam artists in our community.

So naturally, I found his FB and started DIGGING 🕵🏼♀️Found a woman whose profile pic showed she had 2 different colored eyes… IT WAS HIS FIANCÉE. 💀💀💀 And the Vegas wedding? IT WAS HIS WEDDING. 😭 I set up a 2nd date to confront him, messaged his fiancée, she responded and then blocked me. He didn’t show for the 2nd date, but absolutely BLEW UP MY PHONE afterward 😂📱 And the craziest part? THEY STILL GOT MARRIED. 💀💀💀

several years ago… I met a guy at a bar and we danced/flirted all night. He was in town for a convention and I was also there on vacation. I got strange vibes when we were leaving. I didn’t get his number or last name. Went home, couldn’t find him anywhere. Found a Facebook page for the convention he was attending. They had posted photos from the sessions. He was in a photo, someone had laugh reacted the picture. Went to that person’s profile, searched their friends list for his name. Found him. Married with children.

Nothing special but before my son came along.. I had time. I liked to look up our state police website missing persons.. Found one of the girls in 5 mins by social media..state trooper came into my work monthly. Told him what I found and he didn't seem like he believed me..week later she was removed from site.
