I'm so distressed over this. I live in Colorado. 1/3rd of my county is in a fire since June 29. aspen acres fire. you are partly right. climate change is part of it. I've lived here since 76. less winter every winter. nobody logged our mountains. it was a natural forest. it was thinned of dead trees. climate change is real. we had no winter this year. you just said it. the west is getting hotter.

It’s because we put 99% of fires out before they get above 1000 acres which leads to unbelievable fuel loading. The natives knew they had the burn it before the fires did and they survived and thrived, we have to do better in forest management.
