@isaie1111: Things I have learned in my second week on GLP-1 medication that have changed my whole mindset…(disclaimer this is what has worked for me and is not medical advice) 1. DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF EAT AND EAT GOOD AND MAKE SURE YOU GETTING YOUR PROTEIN! -YALL I DON’T Starve myself at all. I eat 3 times a day and sometimes with a snack. Has it been hard to get meals down ABSOLUTELY!! But I do not go not one day with out making sure I am eating. Also when I do eat I am eating cleaner. And on the days I can’t really eat I’m still taking in protein any way possible rather it be a drink or a powder or some kind of snack I’m getting it in EVERYDAY!!! 2. DRINK A LOT OF WATER -well for 1 I be thirsty as hell. Now it’s true that I have always been a water girly. I have always strongly believed that I had to intake a lot a water. Here’s the challenge for me now…actually monitoring my water intake, setting goals, and putting a number to it…my first challenge was 40oz a day…now it’s 56oz a day…and my final goal will be 80oz a day 3. STAY ACTIVE/WORKOUT -loosing 9 pounds in 7 days wasn’t easy!!! I had to change my mindset, my relationship with food, and WORKOUT!!! Being on a GLp is a supplement to boost what your doing not a fix all. I decided weeks before I even started that I wanted to be more active. I started walking on my breaks and taking more water in. Now that I’m on it I still walk on my breaks and some days I even go to the gym after work. I’m working for what I want. Not sitting on my ass waiting for it to come to me!!! 4. TAKE YOUR VITAMINS!! -I take my vitamins every morning and I’m also on collegen for my skin hair and nails I refuse to have sagging skin which is another reason I work out. I also do not want to be malnutrition from loosing weight so rapidly so I make sure I stay vitamined up lol. Also because it is hard to eat like I use to I take vitamins to replace the nutrition I am not getting from food. I want to still look young and radiant when this is over not old and all sunk in in the face lol… 5. DONT STRESS THE SCALE -I do not weigh every single day. When I start feeling anxiety and wanna see if I’m still getting results I find something in my closet that I could not wear and try it on. I only weigh in and do measurements 1 time a week and that’s on shot day. I have found that easing through my days without worrying about my weight are best for me. My weight fluctuates with meals and my cycles. I would literally drive myself insane and stop eating if I seen how much I gained after a meal lol. It also makes the surprise on the scale every Saturday so much more exciting ❤️ Last thing I want to say is if you decide to take this journey be serious about it. Not everyone can deal with things that aren’t quick fixes. Have patience pay attention to your body. And enjoy every moment!!! My journey is fun and I look forward to my weigh in’s. #glp1 #weightloss #happy #lifestylechange #healthjourney
