My take, he and his new wife did it. He kept all her meds he "said he dispose of" and used them in their evil plan. He did go to New York to see his girlfriend even though Lindsay told him a bit ago she was unwell. While with The Dr. girlfriend gives him advise on how much meds to give her, and how to ☠️them all. The Dr. girlfriend takes care of the kids, he comes back to "deal" with his wife hence the change of shoes and coat. Yjey did not plan on her surviving. While drugged enough to not remember anything only to believe a lie.

What i don't understand is why he got rid of their nanny. They only had her for about 2 months and only 2 days a week she worked. His excuse is that she wanted to go back to work. Wouldn't your wife need more help not less. Your wife is not sleeping, she's depressed; your solution is to get rid of the only help she had. She never went back to work 4 months later, still no nanny. Every choice this man has made has been the wrong choice.
