I made a video about this because the same thing happened to my friend who had sepsis. He had a psychotic break months after he recovered. Completely out of character. He was even arrested.

Where did you get this information? I’d be curious to know because I had sepsis which became septic shock and almost didn’t make it. There was no sort of psychotic behavior as I was not conscious for a time. After I was released I had no energy for over a month so can’t imagine being In a psychosis state. And yes I also have mental health issues. I’d like to see your information and proof of this allegation.

I agree TikTok needs to be held accountable. I just got a violation for the most ridiculous thing. As a former EMT, I have responded to many calls similar to Perez I feel absolutely horrible that he is going through this, but also the people that watched his live. It can be very traumatic for a lot of people. Hopefully he gets the help he needs long-term.

If it’s a know fact that sepsis can cause mental psychosis, why aren’t patients informed of this once they are released and receive the proper aftercare…follow-up appointments with a psychologist or psychiatrist?? This is not common knowledge!
