My house is paid off and no HOA’s. I do have property taxes, insurance and repairs. It’s still a lot cheaper than renting.

I bought my house a long time ago $60k paid cash. No HOA my tax is low we remodeled twice $200.K . It’s now worth over $1M. One acre with a private driveway. That’s why we don’t move.
