Just getting into watches - but in a conservative way. Drive used BMWS. I own a shop that specializes in fixing them so it is actually more cost effective for me. I buy nice clothes but from second hand stores. 🤷♂️

I don’t think people pursue expensive sports because they want to be “unique”. I think the expensive sport is appealing and they happen to have the resources to pursue it. Equestrian sports does take money but also commitment and a mental toughness. You can’t buy a good ride. Even $$$,$$$$ horses can be tough to ride and it takes a tremendous amount of work to get to higher competitive levels. Also, wealthy people don’t drive crap cars because luxury cars offer a significantly nicer experience which they can afford. So why would they suffer in a beater with a broken ac, loud road noise and subpar stereo?

I by no means wealthy but I’m on my way. I talk about salaries with all my friends. I’m trying to figure out if I’m being paid fairly. I’m pretty sure I’m underpaid compared to my friends but I need to continue where I am at for at least another year for a professional license.
