I would like to say a few words about the Twentieth Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. I think there are two "swords": one is Lenin and the other Stalin. The sword of Stalin has now been discarded by the Russians. Gomulka and some people in Hungary have picked it up to stab at the Soviet Union and oppose so-called Stalinism. The Communist Parties of many European countries are also criticizing the Soviet Union, and their leader is Togliatti. The imperialists also use this sword to slay people with. Dulles, for instance, has brandished it for some time. This sword has not been lent out, it has been thrown out. We Chinese have not thrown it away. First, we protect Stalin, and, second, we at the same time criticize his mistakes, and we have written the article "On the Historical Experience of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat". Unlike some people who have tried to defame and destroy Stalin, we are acting in accordance with objective reality. (1/2)

I quite like your analyses but I think you're being a bit unfair by suggesting that Lenin used the idea of a soviet superstate as a cover for the recovery of some greater Russia. Some people do actually believe what they say, and I think of anyone Lenin absolutely was being very genuine in his beliefs.

Gorbachev's immediate political opening led to the Party's organizations, like the army, believing they had independent authority and they betrayed the party/state

I think lenins structure of allowing the various SSR to have its own governmental framework and autonomy was not a negative thing, if we could imagine a dissolution of the USSR without the dissolution of communism across the various SSR states well I do not think that would be a negative outcome

ну не совсем, как по мне СССР развалился из-за коррупции на всех уровнях и провальной экономической политики, все остальное это последствия этих двух факторов, а также принятые советскими лидерами решения (например вторжение в Афганистан или политика "гласности")

The picture u show of the leaders is a bit wrong. Lenin was Chuvash and Brezhnev was Russian, the first Russian leader of the USSR

What would you theorize would be a suitable approach for merging or unionizing countries if a socialist revolution happened? Specifically for Eastern Europe and the Balkans in today's age, given that we wouldn't be starting from the same conditions as China or even previously tried approaches within the Balkans.

The failure of Russia to assert control over the soviet republics resulted in the cessation of the Russian territories to the republics. Does it even make sense?

The Secret Speech was also the reason the USSR lost the ideological race in the long term perspective. Before it, the most of the world fared Stalin as the great liberator and cherished Soviet victory over the Axis in the WW2. Almost all of the communist factions around the world gathered around Soviet Union and Joseph Stalin regardless of their personal views, keening to carry his flame and vision on socialist ideology. The Soviet satellites already contained all the loyalists too. But Khrushchev speech created a large domino effect. Not only it distanced countries that were already close to Russia, like China and Albania, but it also vastly contributed to the fall of popularity of Western communist parties, some of which had large popularity. Not to mention the fact that the reformist tendencies in the Union started turbulent processes in the satellite states, which ended up in Hungarian revolution, mass riots in Poland and sow roots for the Prague spring of '68. Not to mention the devastating amount of money USSR spent on ineffective agricultural campaigns, trying to change the land and use different crops instead of expanding agricultural machinery and fertilizers.

Это, наверное, одно из лучших видео на тему развала СССР. Здорово, что в КНР анализируют ошибки партнёров и соперников с холодным разумом. Обидно, что у нас именно что искали виноватых…

I wouldn't say gorbachev betrayed the soviet ideology, many things blamed on him were actually done by Yeltsin and political instability was mostly caused by external Coups

Not true about Great Russian chauvinism. Stalin himself was Georgian not Russian and all the feminines and ecological disasters, basically the red terror, didn't specifically target Ukrainians or Kazakhs, or any other ethnicities. They targeted the anticommunist activists (in any way, sometimes it could be just a random person telling police made up shit about someone or something, especially under Stalin. It could be nationalists as well). Russians have suffered not significantly less than other ethnicities during the red terror, so there's no room for Russian chauvinism.
