@seed2spoon: 🍅 I walked out to check on my biggest slicer tomato plant... and found THIS. 😳😡 At first, I thought the cucumber beetles were the culprit since they were all over it. But after taking a closer look, I’m not so sure they could have caused those huge bites. They may have just shown up after something else got to it first. 🤔 What’s your guess? Bird? Squirrel?? Something else??? #Tomatoes #GardenPests #GardenLife #GardenProblems #gardenhelp
The only time I have had wildlife take a bite of a ripe tomato is during a hot dry period. They do it for the moisture not to actually eat it. I placed numerous water bowls around my property (not near my gardens) with various depths. My tomatoes have since been left alone. All creatures have fresh water available to them daily.

Victoria :
Probably a squirrel. Little so and so’s usually test the green ones but if they notice a ripe one, they will definitely indulge
