@thebalanceroutine: I make this every summer so it’s ready by the time cold season hits and everyone around me is getting sick. Garlic and honey have been used as medicine for thousands of years across so many cultures (ancient Egypt, Greece, China, Ayurvedic tradition, and more). 🤍 Soothes a sore throat 🤍 Garlic releases allicin - nature’s antimicrobial 🤍 Honey is unreal for calming coughs 🤍 Supports your gut + immune system 🤍 Antioxidant-rich 🤍 Helps break down bacterial biofilms 🤍 Lasts basically forever in your pantry How to make it: Fill a clean, COMPLETELY dry glass jar halfway with peeled organic garlic cloves Pour raw, unfiltered honey over the top until the garlic is fully covered (leave room at the top - it bubbles!) Seal it, and burp + flip the jar every single day Keep it at room temp, out of direct sunlight Ready in about 3-4 weeks - and it only gets better with time A few IMPORTANT things: ⚠️ Use raw, unfiltered honey only - the processed stuff won’t ferment ⚠️ Keep the garlic fully submerged in honey at all times (never let it poke up into the air) ⚠️ Burp it daily so pressure doesn’t build up ⚠️ Your garlic might turn blue/green - totally normal and harmless! ⚠️ For extra peace of mind, add a splash of raw apple cider vinegar and/or test with a pH strip (you want below 4.6) ⚠️ NEVER give honey - fermented or not - to a child under 1 year old Not medical advice - I’m a health coach, not a doctor. If you’re pregnant, immunocompromised, or on medication, check with your provider first 🤍 Save this for summer and let’s get fermenting!

please differentiate between antibiotics and antibacterial. someone out there might actually eat this instead of antibiotics when they need it, which can end very badly.

Ginger as well! In my opinion it was easier to deal with. I couldn’t ever seem to find a batch of good garlic that wouldn’t mold during the fermentation 😭 or maybe I went wrong somewhere in the process

I would recommend crushing your garlic cloves before adding it to the honey. the juice from the garlic helps ferment it better and we'll make the garlic soft and sweet, almost like candy.

I always wanna do stuff like this but I’m afraid of keeping things and it would just go off and having some of this in a few months would either kill me or make me sick

I cut a lemon inside too. I take 1 spoon in the morning before breakfast. I’m Bulgarian and we use this as natural remedy for cold and flu in winter

This does not replace medical grade antibiotics for serious infections. See a doctor if you think you have a bacterial infection please!
