Nah sumeru was the first nation where the story got NOTICEABLY better. Then Fontaine improved upon it. Then natlan didn’t meet expectations. And now Nod-krai is good but not as good as sumeru and fontaine.

I quit after I found out it would become pretty much essential to pull every new character because the next release would instantly power creep everything I spent hours and even some money investing in. The fact I got Kazuha to c4 with low spending was my pride and joy and now my account is “bricked” because I went by the “pull who you like” philosophy rather than “pull for meta”. Apparently some of my faves got buffs like but it was just too little too late imo. I shouldn’t have to throw out my entire time building characters I loved for the newest shiniest units only for those to be made useless later too. Exploring Natlan only using Saurians was a nightmare so I quit. Came back just to pull for Flins because I liked his design… but he apparently was a mistake as well because he’s weak.

I think Natlan probably had the most quitters but I truly believe that if inazuma was released later it would have had people quitting in droves due to the flat and mundane exploration the extremely tedious and boring puzzles lackluster story and then later not a single one of the characters released then even being slightly meta
