I sick of ppl trying to water down characters in the marauders fandom particularly the black brothers. Reg they only make morally gray when they can justify it like no he didn’t stay at Grimmwald bc he couldn’t get out for the first years of his life he was in an environment where he was brainwashed to be a blood purest and everything else that a death eater was. Sirius was raised to think he’s better than everyone (his aptitude to magic doesn’t help). And that’s ok they are complicated but interesting characters and I’m tired of ppl dumbing them down.

MY PROBLEMATIC KING but on a real note I think Sirius was acting impulsively (as he does) and genuinely did not think through what the consequences would be for his friends beyond retaliating against Snape following them, and that’s the only part he’d eventually feel guilty about

The brothers are both great if there the most bitchy of assholes that walk this earth. Added with the Noble House of Black headcanons that they're geniuses and well-trained, they're too competent for this shit. Making them assholes. The only main difference is that one is an extrovert and the other is an introvert.
