i’m not trying to be mean but im genuinely so confused. i don’t believe it god but why are some sins okay and others aren’t? you wouldn’t have sex before marriage but drugs and prison was fine? and he was a god fearing man but none of his actions showed he was actually a good person but him praying was enough to overlook that? even when you knew he committed these crimes you still say god didn’t tell you to leave yet. i don’t understand 😓

I am dealing with this right now. Everyday it seems like I find out something else he has done and it’s so hard to accept it and believe it. It was always easier to just deny it all but it finally reached a point that I couldn’t do that anymore. I’m still in the middle of it but you give me hope that it will get better.

Aww Amanda, I just wanna give you a hug because I relate to many parts of your story and how it feels when someone you love with all your heart doesn’t return the love and even worse is disloyal and abusive. I’m 7 months into my break up and my ex has moved on with another woman and my heart is still so broken. He did me dirty and I just wish I could let go of my love for him. If he came to my door today trying to get me back I wouldn’t let him back into my life but it’s the fact that he never even tried once to get me back that hurts so much. I’m healing piece by piece thanks to Jesus but everyday is a struggle. I hope I can get to where you are in my healing process. Thank you for being so brave and vulnerable enough to share bc it makes me feel not so alone.

I think it’s so powerful to share. A lot of the men who have been arrested as predators say the exact same to their wives and push them to deny/stand with them publicly because of their position of authority/business/family/the children and, because the cycles of abuse the woman has already been through, she does. You are so valuable and I am so grateful for the healing you did, for yourself and kiddos. You make such a difference!
