@woundedfam: What started out as a regular play session with Benji turned into a lesson on sharing. If you’re new here, one of our twins, Braxton, is autistic, and the other, Benjamin, has cerebral palsy. We’ve been working on helping them learn to play together and interact with each other. I got one of Benji’s switch-adapted toys out, and Braxton wanted it too. We used it as an opportunity to practice sharing and taking turns. It went from Braxton being upset over the toy, to taking turns, to helping his brother, and both of them being involved together. It may not look like Benji was all that interested in the toy, and maybe he wasn’t. 🤷‍♀️ But one thing I’ve learned about Benji is that he’s incredibly observant and very aware of what’s going on around him, even when he doesn’t seem focused on just one thing. #cerebralpalsy #autism #hie
