My family expierienced communism and i expierience my country after communism. IT. DOES. NOT. WORK. My moms side of the family lets focus on my great grandmother when she was a child she had a traumatic expierience a generation before her was kinda rich and she had a good quality of life but because of communism and the communist of the ussr her house was blown up she was a little girl a the time. Now lets move on to my grandmother, my great grandmothers daughter she has expierienced life both at communist times and after communism i heard storys that people at the time were waiting in the stores for EVERYTHING and i mean everything realeted to food or other necesities i dont remember much but if i remember i will write more. P.S being gay in the USSR was a crime that you could get 5 years in prison for.

People love to argue with me when I point of the numerous amount of people who are still alive today who lived through the fall of the USSR and how they’ve gone on record to say their quality of life was better under the USSR. We’ve been so engrained to hate communism and even mentioning countries like the USSR and Cuba illicits a visceral reaction from people, and it’s hard to blame them because we are fed this propaganda from such a young age. But with the rise of internet and people all over the world being able to connect with each other it’s people are slowly starting to realize just how propagandized we are and how vastly different the rest of the world is than what we are taught, and that gives me hope.
