The closeness of the el sayed/Steven’s race has me so worried for the Texas senate race 😟 especially after Cori bush’s loss…she was promising way more than James is. He’s only progressive in Texas terms.

Progressives CAN win the South BUT with working class policies and NOT talking about Israel - the South is very evangelical, very pro-Israel. Progressives may need to be less vocal on that issue in the South imo. Sincerely a Carolinian❤️

i am in NC and our House Race a few months ago, our DSA candidate only lost against the AIPAC incumbent democrat by 1000 votes with lots of money spent on CRAZY islamaphobic ads

I think yes, progressives can win in the south (and Appalachia) however they honestly might have a better time as independents, assuming they can still get the visibility and funds needed

I lived in Cori's district for 3ish years, and the amount of people I met who would say they wouldn't vote for her, or vote red for positions, and progressive for ballots is BAFFLING

What could Cori have done differently? I don't feel like she got as much support and focus as the other candidates. Was that because the numbers were never on her side? I don't get why the backing wasn't as loud. She has proven she's true to this.
