@thecalmdigitalpath: As a massage therapist with over 20 years experience, I absolutely believe in the benefits of professional massage. But I also know that weekly massage appointments aren't an option for everyone, whether that's because of time, cost or simply because life gets in the way. That's why I'm so passionate about creating targeted self-massage techniques and movement exercises you can do yourself, whether you're dealing with a tight, stiff neck, tight shoulders, jaw tension from clenching or grinding your teeth, or tension headaches. The more you understand your own body and what you can do to help it, the less you have to rely on someone else to do it for you. For this neck release, use your index and middle finger to press into the muscles either side of your spine, then tilt your head forwards and backwards. Work your way down the muscle until you reach the base of your neck. Follow along for more targeted self-massage techniques and movement exercises that actually work to release tension and help you move more freely. For educational purposes only. If you have a medical condition or injury, always follow the advice of your healthcare professional. #selfmassage #neckrelease #necktension #neckpainrelief #stiffneck
