Both of you are extremely tall. They guess the weight from the femur length so it can be wildly inaccurate for tall people. They kept telling me my baby was over 10 pounds. She was 6 pounds 4oz. I would call in the morning and ask for an induction with the knowledge you will flip to a C-section if there are complications.

Labor nurse here...HONEY! That must've been SO scary! I'm so sorry you went through this. You should definitely go to triage at your hospital if this happens again. It sounds like you lost a lot of blood and, in my opinion, your doctor should have seen you immediately when you went back in. You can also request an opinion from an MFM specialist in regard to C/S vs. vaginal delivery. There are risks and benefits to both. I hope all goes well and you have a beautiful, uncomplicated delivery.❤️

C-section isn’t the worst thing in the world. Your body heals, and at least you eliminate the risk of going through 18 hours of labor only to end up with an emergency c-section.

they go on length so I wouldnt worry. they told me 10lbs witg both of my older 2 They were 7.2lb and 7.7lbs. 3rd I just didn't bother asking. They got his weight wrong.

My ex husband was 13lb 10oz, his mum was tiny and 5’4”. Normal vaginal delivery. She said it was easier as he seemed to help push himself out🤷🏻♀️😂

Girl!! My husband is 6’5 and I’m 5’2 .. my little boy was measuring 10 lbs and they induced me at 39 weeks. (He came out 7.8) .. it’s INSANE they have let you go this long.

oh hey, also 6’0 with a 6’7 husband. Our babies ranged from 8lb 6oz to 9lb 9oz. I’d personally still try for the induction since those scans can be so inaccurate and a c section will affect future pregnancies.
