As a psychologist, this is so interesting to watch. There’s actually recognised psychology behind this called collective effervescence and identity fusion where people find belonging, excitement and purpose in a shared event, and eventually it can become part of their identity. People stop feeling like they’re watching a trial and start feeling like they’re part of it and “uncovering the truth”. I see this all the time.

No one I’ve seen online is claiming they’ve “found clues”. They’re making reasonable observations and watching the defense lawyer poke holes in Patrick’s/the states timeline. We all know they’re real people. Lindsey is also a real person whose life has been ruined.
