I homeschooled our daughter for 4 years. It was absolutely amazing. She decided that she wanted the “high school experience”, so she returned to public school for 8th grade to get used to it again. And her high school had an option for students to attend school AND college in senior year, so she graduated with a year of college done! Now she’s got her Bachelor’s!

Makes sense. We homeschooled for 4 years as well. When the kids were in middle school they began to feel like they wanted to go back to regular school. So that’s what we did.

As a college professor, I think it’s so beneficial that your kids got experience with both. However, those coming from traditional education have a much easier time in the transition to college.

right there with ya , my daughter has been homeschooled since kindergarten for medical reasons, but she is all clear to go to face to face school so that's is what we are doing , good luck to your kiddos I hope their school year is awesome !!!!

Sometimes the kids make decisions on what they feel is better for their mental health and how they can still thrive without knowing what that's what they're doing. Listening to your children can also have a huge impact on their relationship with their parents.
