The saddest thing I ever heard was from a 25 year old coworker. "If I disappear it won't be my family, girlfriend or buddies that notices first. It will be my job." He was sadly right. He didn't show for 3 days, we called his emergency contact, his mother. He took his life and no one noticed until his coworkers did. Sometimes the battles are so quiet that the warrior's world accepts his silence.

Gentlemen, I lost my home to a house fire October 1st of 2025. I lost 2 cats in that fire. During that time my wife had stage 4 cancer. She passed away this past February. I’m. Still. Standing. I lost everything. Think positive thoughts. Find ways to LIVE! Reach out. Cry. It’s ok.

I've honestly sat here and listened to this over and over. each time feeling another piece of myself showcased dealing with my own thoughts for so long now trying to figure out why I'm going on other than just being the foundation for my family. the fear of failing them if I slip and let my thoughts win... I dont even know what to do other than throw that mask on and show them a happy face and give them all that they want and need... then lately just seems like thats not even enough.
