extra horror: instead of their actual partner, it's their previous partner who had gone missing, the current partner simply wanting to show the extent they'd gone to for this wedding. Another one: It starts off as spooky pictures, but the person just thinks it's a horror thing that their partner wanted to do, like a big murder mystery or smth. until they get to the last picture of their partner's dead body, and realize with a cold jolt that a specific mark on their partner in the picture is gone from the person in front of them, and that's how they realize it's not a horror game, the thing in front of them actually replaced their partner, and no one else knows because they're the only one who knows about that mark, either because of the placement or because they'd spent a lot of time looking at it. boom, 3rd option for mutual toxicity/obsession: They're photos of the partner, but the person recognizes them because THEY had been the one to off the partner, and the pictures are of the replacement showing they know what they did, and still loves them anyway.

My oc was given photos of their lover dead by others but somehow could never catch the faces of who was giving them those, but the thing is the photos are from the future, my oc believes that the lover is a fake and ends up killing them and that when my oc realized that the moment looked exactly like the pictures
