my school had me taking lin alg and diff eq my first semester there cus I got a 5 on ap calc bc test 😭

I took calc 1 in 8 weeks, it was lightwork. Pre calc and Trig in a year, I struggled a lot more. Calc 1 was a lot more comfortable for me because of the precalc and trig that I had been practicing for a year. I saw people in my calc class who skipped pre calc and trig and they all struggled. My teacher even reacted when he would find out certain people skipped pre calc and trig. Honestly I personally think you don't need pre calc and trig however it will be a decently challenging. Since certain concepts come up that you were taught in the prerequisite courses. You can do it 👍🏼

I feel like so much of engineering is like just the willingness and discipline to do it, I am going back to college again at 32 for EE and I’m starting with precalc because I thought I’d need a refresher since I took it in 2011 😅 but honestly I coulda done Calc 1

well how would instead of doing what u did: pre-calc ➡️calc 1 ➡️failing calc 2 result in a change of outcome; not failing calc 2?

I took precalc first semester and it was def harder than calc 1. I don’t regret it though bc it prepared me a lot for calc 1 and I felt a lot more confident since the class felt a lot harder than all my other classes
