Actually, wood is much better, because it actually kills bacteria by removing the moisture it lives off of, if you actually store it properly, and dont leave it soaking wet

Wood can holds bacteria but doesn’t let it out cutting it off form oxygen and killing it. Wood has great antibacterial properties
