Delayed in Atlanta for 3 hours on Sunday…the pilot came out and spoke to us in the waiting area…brought us snacks and water. Best delay experience.

Amazing video and just a fun fact the flight attendant time stop but the pilots time never stopped that’s why even during the delay they say oh they ran out of time because their time doesn’t stop until someone in the operation releases that pilot

Just a little mis info I want to clear up for you so you don’t have a negative experience in the future! Pilots and flight attendants clocks start at their report time, door open or close affects if they’re getting paid, but their “time out” clock so to speak stays running the entire time because they’re still on duty the entire time (:

Pilot timing is period….nothing to do if you’re on the plane or not, door open, etc. They have the ability to extend time but there is a limit to that too. More so they start to get fined if you’re on the plane more than 3 hours straight.

This warms my heart, because many times people only highlight the negative. As a gate agent, there’s nothing more I want than to have a safe boarding process, and that aircraft takes off. Thank you for this.🙌🏾🫶🏾

I don’t think it was weather though. I think it was the ATC blackout over 9 states which probably made re-routing impossible. Either way, good job, Delta.

Mine was delayed 2 hours then canceled, then rebooked, delayed, rebooked, landed in jfk, delayed 3 hours, delayed another 3 hours and then waited over an hour to take off. Got back to home then waited an hour for luggage and made it home over 40 hours after our original time 😭

At the airport there is a limit to how many food vouchers each person can receive. But You can always submit a reimbursement request on delta.com !
