I do think her husband did not take her seriously and failed her. I find it unbelievably sad and I have feelings of frustration knowing a black woman wouldn’t get as much empathy.

I’ve seen every race talking about this to be fair. Women see their relationships in this case and that he is so obviously lying and the police didn’t look into him at all. I get your point totally but my page is so spread and mostly I follow black women and they are talking about this case so much too. I actually see so many white women defending him on my side of TikTok.

shes a woman who asked for help and was failed by her husband, hospitals and now the court system is calling her a liar instead of getting her the help she desperately needs. this could happen to anyone so people are putting themselves in her shoes. it should strike fear in everyone that you could be at your most vulnerable and no one will be in your corner.

and i would do the same for any woman. people act shock when mental health issues actually impact behavior. it’s crazy to act like the reason she did what she did was because she didn’t love or care about her kids enough, as if love could overpower a severe mental health crisis.

I’m a BW, 11 weeks postpartum and this case makes me sick to my stomach. I feel terrible for her AND I know if she were black most people would write her off it’d be so black and white and fast and would’ve never garnered this much interest. AND I have so much empathy for her as a woman who was clearly asking for help AND my heart breaks for those children
