i think the only difference between them is that sua genuinely would have just slimed herself the moment mizi died. she quite literally could not live without mizi, which is why she knew she needed to die in the first place so that mizi would live. that’s what mizi meant when she said that maybe she wasn’t as desperate. but she loved sua so much

I wanna say Mizi is just as desperate for Sua as Sua was for Mizi, they both loved each other equally but Sua already had it in her mind that she would die. To the point she was practicing her death. She would sacrifice herself for Mizi. And Mizi was against the idea but Sua coaxed her into it. You can see it their arguments. But when they finally preformed with one another. All of that was forgotten, they showed the crowd their love for one another instead. They didn’t try to cheat the other in being better or sabotage. They did it as their last act of love together. Their scores show it for everyone to see. They both played so perfectly that it was just one point apart. Either one could have had that extra point, none of them knew for sure who would die. It could have been Mizi and then we would have seen Sua’s depressive side where she can’t live in a world without Mizi. Mizi is strong enough to continuing living on but it breaks her. Sua chose to die because she cannot imagine a world without Mizi. I love them both so much you don’t know how crazy I go for them…

I think what's getting people about Zombie Stage is that Round 1 was so heavily from Sua's POV that it's difficult to tell if Mizi reciprocated, and if so when that reciprocation started and possibly ended, whereas in ALNST, while the relationship was still unhealthy, it was very obviously mutual. In both cases they're toxic, but there's definitely a difference between mutual toxicity and Sua forcing herself on Mizi. Hopefully we get some clarification soon because it's left this relationship in the lurch. Remembering how explicit it was in ALNST makes me wonder if the vagueness this time is intentional or if we're just too early 😩

People need to learn to tell the difference between factual information the story is telling us about the character and how a character sees themselves. Mizi clearly has a lot of survivor's guilt and self hatred. We can't trust the negative things she says about herself as 100% true.

Sure, but she meant it in a different way. Sua, from the very beginning, was planning her own death because she knew the day that one of them would die would come. And mizi also knew that the day was going to come, she knew sua was ready to sacrifice herself but she didn't do anything about it or tried to sacrifice herself instead. That's what she means with that. Sua was desperate enough for her to plan her own death but mizi didn't act on it at all

Mizi definitely did love Sua the same amount. Sua was a mentally weak person, and Sua herself knew that. That’s why she knew she had to die. She loves Mizi, and knows Mizi is stronger than Sua is.

Mizi was always in denial with herself,putting up a barrier and pretending.But with Sua it got confusing to the point she actually forgot how much sensitive and fake she was.

If Mizi died instead the only way I could see Sua making it would be solely because the aliens might not want her to die outside the stage and keep her under watch as soon as she tries to because she needs to be entertainment but she'd definitely be trying to end it and straight up wouldn't sing at all on stage, if the rebellion took her anyways it's over the moment they give her a weapon, it'd all just be delaying the inevitable
