raised by a single mom but I totally agree with you. fortunately my mom was hard on us. but boys need purpose, struggles, hardship. it forges us into men. boys are different than girls. great book wild at heart.

I don’t feel so bad raising my son this way as a single parent. He was helping me cut grass with a push mower at 7 years old among many other things. 😉🥰

I think a big issue has been most of the Dad's now didn't have Dad's that pushed and raised them either. My Dad raised me, and it shows. I love my 3 boys dearly, but I'll also be damned if they grow up expecting everything to be done for them, lazy and complacent. That they offer to help, and step in when they are able.

No they do not. I expect my daughters to be successful and graduate from college that is not a choice that is expected from them. I've come from a long line of very independent women It's all about how you're raised.

What if you just have girls? A girl with just one sister growing up. I loved learning from my Daddy. I want to help him. My parents divorced when I was 7. It broke me! My Father taught me everything a guy can do! I can change a tire. I can change my own oil, I can do so many things because I loved learning from my Daddy. Guys don't like a girl if they can do more than them. I'm proud to be a knowledgeable person because of him. Sorry to say that I can be able to take care of myself and others. Yes it is nice to see men being men, but only with respect. 😍 I don't have any kids of my own but I'm very involved with my sister's life and her kids. The father is completely still in the home but not really involved. Unless playing video games. My sister and I don't agree on how he does things. 🥺💜 My sister and I are two in one.👍🏻
