It was an invitation for him to understand her emotional world.” and say “Tell me more so I understand how I can see you better emotionally moving forward.” She wasn’t trying to fight she was trying to have her deeper feelings seen and heard so they could be closer.

'Know Her': What worries, stresses, makes her think, makes her cry, what bothers her at work who bothers her at worth, when it bothers her at work, where exactly at work does it bother her, how do those things make her feel & why it makes her feel that way. Validate her feelings (doesn't mean you agree) be her ally when it comes to those things that bother her & how they make her feel. Don't try and solve. Ask her how she deals with it everyday & how you could support her. All while giving undivided attention. Notice and mention the things that make her an asset (reassure her) at the job... name them specifically... and share your admiration. Just this should provide for HOURS of desperately needed, de stressing conversations that she craves from you. That'll help disarm her stressors... allow her body to 'see you' as a completely safe place to vent. Don't be surprised if this results in a loyal, madly in love with you woman who's more than willing to show you her appreciation 🙏🏿 And thats just about her job. Women aren't hard, we just weren't taught lol.

This is the problem....women are expecting their husband to communicate with them the way other women and girlfriends do. Men are expecting women to communicate the way they communicate with other men. These are unrealistic expectations on both sides. We each need to get more honest and realistic about being a couple.. I'm confident we each experience how the other communicates early on in the relationship. Why is everyone so surprised and annoyed once they get married?? We need to stop trying to change eachother and be more honest from the beginning. Don't pick someone for who you want them to be. Pick someone who you actually already like just as they are or don't get married!!
