Did you cross the UN border. I want completely past the checkpoints in 2011 without my passport. luckily being a confused tourist, they asked a couple questions and let me walk back.

The Turkish side was quite interesting to visit before the pandemic. Basically just Russian tourists and lots of pretty empty villages because so many moved to the Greek side during the war. Definitely felt like a disputed territory.

When i was there i had the same experience. When we rented atv’s they passed our passports around to all the employees because they had never seen them before

I hear Cyprus is also a place where couples from the Middle East get married. This is due to people who usually do marriages in the region not allowing cross-faith marriage, if that’s to be believed to be true 🤔
