In all 50 states- a legal U turn HAS RIGHT OF WAY over a right hand turn unless there is a sign specifically saying otherwise. If the right turn had a green light, there would be a sign saying U-turn yield. There is only one sign, and it says Left turns may only turn on green arrow. Therefore- the U turning car (cam car) has right of way over the right turning cars. Period, end of story.

actually you can see that the way the lights are they probably had a green right turn arrow. you are at fault here. that’s why that right light that is facing them has 5 lights instead of three. a green and yellow right turning arrow.

This is why U-turns are illegal in most states. It’s just like a yield sign. If it’s just something people can go through without getting a ticket then it’s like it’s not even there. They’ll just blast right on through it.

I can’t stand when I’m waiting to do a u turn and the person in front of me also does a u turn. Literally no traffic but they still wait for the green arrow. You can literally do a u turn in front of a cop on a red arrow it’s not illegal

This intersection is in Rosemont IL, Higgins and Mannheim intersection. I found this street view picture on Google maps. In cases where the right turn has a green right arrow (as you can see) right has right of way and uturn has to yield.

You guys don’t know how the street/streelights work. He has the green arrow, meaning that the cars that are on his left and right cannot have a green light because if they did, there would be a literal 10 car collision. This means the guy doing the U-Turn is protected and has the right of way. The other cars turning right have a red light, all those cars are at fault.
