As requested, the video recipe for the huge paper-thin cookies is here! Let me know if you have any questions and stay tuned for the next cookie 👀 INGREDIENTS: • 1 ½ sticks / 12 tbsp (170g) Unsalted Butter, melted • ¾ cup + 2 tbsp (180g) White Granulated Sugar • ½ cup (100g) Light Brown Sugar, packed • 1 large (50g) Egg • 1 large (15g) Egg Yolk • 1-2 tsp (5-10g) Pure Vanilla Extract • 1 ½ cups (200g) All-Purpose Flour • ½ tsp (3g) Baking Soda • ½ tsp (3g) Fine Sea Salt • 1 ½ cups (225g) Semi-Sweet Dark Chocolate, chopped METHOD: 1. Melt your butter and let it cool down a little. Add both sugars and whisk aggressively for 1 full minute until smooth, glossy, and no longer grainy. 2. Whisk in the whole egg, egg yolk, and vanilla for another full minute until the mixture thickens. 3. Gently fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt just until the flour streaks disappear. Fold in most of your chopped chocolate chunks (save a handful of large shards for the top later). 4. Make large dough balls or use a big scoop like I did. Place them on a tray and freeze for 15-20 minutes until a little bit more firm. 5. Preheat oven to 350°F and space the cookies far apart. At the 10-minute mark, open the oven and slam the pan down flat to deflate the puffed centers. Repeat the slam at minutes 12, 14, and 16 to lock in those deep, rippled ridges. 6. Pull at 15-17 minutes, or whenever the edges are deep golden brown. Make sure to not over-bake. Immediately press your reserved chocolate shards into the top bare spots, hit them with flaky sea salt (optional), and let them cool on the pan. #cookies #foodasmr #thincookierecipe #dessert #thincookies
