7 tips for a healthier scalp. The foundation for healthy hair 🌀 If you have anything to add to this topic, please do below! 💭 I have a lot more to share in future videos 1. I don’t wash my scalp & hair with shampoo & conditioner everyday. And removed mainstream hair care/hair styling from my life. Ones that are hyper synthetic, fragranced/perfume, colored (yellow 5, red 40), include chemicals known for toxicity…like carcinogenic properties…developmental & reproductive toxicity….allergies & immunotoxicity. 🛑 EWG database is a great resource to get to know your body cares ingredients & their bodily effects. 1. Natural Cleanses. Homemade Hair Rinses + Hair Mists, for lighter cleansing. Washes with organic shampoo bars, for deeper cleansing. Oiling the ends and lower part of hair (usually with Jojoba Oil blends) - as a ‘conditioner’. 1. Scalp Oiling. Right before a Wash, I oil my scalp. I love blends including elements that cleanse, nourish & stimulate my scalp. Like castor oil, tee tree, rosemary, peppermint (all organic). 1. Steam Showers. For my daily body showers, I dry brush my hair right before. This ‘fluffs’ my hair, which helps catch steam in the shower. Then I shower my body as normal and ‘crunch’ the steam into my strands. Works like magic & being texture & body back to the hair, while refreshing the scalp. 1. Scalp Stimulation. Head massages, dry brushing, inversions. 1. The SUN (although listed 7). The controversy of the Sun is a deep pit, especially online. Much of the worry for the Sun comes from the many unnatural things we do as humans (in my opinion). Safe exposure to the Sun has done wonders for my scalp…like helped me rebalance my scalp when I’ve had dandruff. Simply spending more time outside can have benefits on scalp health. If you color treat your hair, wear hair products that are full of synthetic chemicals, don’t spend lots of time outside (sensitive to burning from non continual exposure) … you absolutely can be extra sensitive to the Sun. This point may not be your friend. I hope these tips help you find a method, protocol, regiment that works for you & your individual body + life tempo 🤲🏽#HealthyScalpTips #NaturalHairCare #ScalpHealth #HolisticBeauty #CleanBeautyRoutine #HairWellness #ToxinFreeLiving #creatorsearchinsights
