I just tested positive yesterday, I feel awful. I have kept up on the vaccine and get it every year. But at my physical a month ago my doctor said I should go ahead and wait until the new one comes out this fall. (my last shot was July '25) Now I'm really regretting waiting! I just assumed he was right for me to wait for the latest version :( I mask in crowds indoors, on airplanes etc.

I get a Covid shot every six months and have since the beginning. I wear a n95 mask on a plane and crowded places and have for past 20 years, got tired of being sick on vacation. Not much more you can do.

I actually had a dental assistant ask me snidely why I was wearing a mask cause covid don’t exist it’s gone, I said well you continue unmasking but stay away I’m high risk and will use my mask thanks!!

So, what is the recommendation of Covid shots? Do we get a booster of the 25-26 shot or wait until the end of the month for the new strain which is not nimbus or cicada. This is all confusing. As an immune compromised person who gets biologic infusions, I can’t figure out how to protect myself right now.

I don't get out much since I've had long covid for 6 yrs but I've been lame about wearing a mask when I do go out but its time to go back to wearing one and using hand sanitizer.

Thanks, Dr.. I have two questions. Does anybody know if they’re still providing free Covid test anywhere? My second question is a little more detailed. I had Covid for the first time in June 2025. I got my booster three months later and then I passed out and went to the ER in November 2025 passed out again in February 2026. Docs, ruled out cardiac problems. but since then I was told I had long Covid and subsequently months later got diagnosed with lupus. My inflammation is not under control yet. So the second question is, should I go ahead and get my Covid immunization?

I wear a mask on an airplane. If someone in my family is sick, I disinfect like crazy. I wash my hands a zillion times a day and wear a mask. I have a sanitizer in my car for my hands after leaving a store. I'm immune compromised.

I had Covid like 3 weeks ago. It was hellish. Worst sickness I’ve ever had. My wife was even more sick than me, she spiked a 106 fever. She is vaccinated and got boosters. Only reason I knew was at home tests. If anyone needs tests or masks and can’t afford them, see if your area has a Covid conscious block. I got a bunch for free
